Can it damage your natural lashes? The chemical process of breaking the disulphide bonds within the lash is damaging to the natural lash if not performed correctly. This means that the treatment result or condition of the your lashes is very much in the control of your lash technician. Over processing the time on the lashes means the bonds are either not able to be reformed well enough or they break so far that they over-process. Our lash technicians are extremely experienced when it comes to this treatment and stick to strict timings which ensures no over processing will occur. Our conditioning and nourishing lotion can be purchased at the time of your treatment. You can apply this daily to help not only with nourishment but also with styling of your lashes.
Im allergic to lash extensions, can I have a lash lift & tint? Most reactions to lash extensions adhesives is caused through a build-up of exposure to Cyanoacrylate (the ingredient found in all lash extensions adhesives). Lash Lifting products and adhesives don’t contain cyanoacrylate so the chance of a reaction to lash lifting will be slim however a patch test is the best way to determine if you might have sensitivities.
Aftercare Our conditioning serum contains a complex blend of multi-vitamins and conditioning actives, this new and improved conditioning serum is the ultimate conditioner for lashes and brows. Packed full of nourishing goodness, used daily, this serum provides lashes and brows with all they need to appear instantly conditioned, as well as provide long-term benefits to help give a fuller appearance. Powerful anti-oxidants also help protect lashes and brows from everyday environmental pollutants. When used beneath mascara, it can also act as a primer. The hypoallergenic formulation is gentle on even the most sensitive eyes.
Can I wear mascara? Absolutely – you must wait until after the first 24 hours then you can apply regular mascara. Remember that mascaras need to be replaced every 3 months to avoid bacteria growth and infections in your lashes/eyes.
When should I rebook my lash lift and tint? We generally say a lift should last up to 6 weeks or more on some clients – however, the lash growth cycle must be taken into account. If you have a lot of baby lash growth coming through at the time of your treatment you might want to re-book your next treatment for sooner, around 4 weeks time. Other clients might experience an extremely slow lash regeneration process and only need a lift every 8 – 10 weeks, however, you will need to come back for a touch up tint at 6 weeks. Patch testing for Lash Lift and Tint A patch test is required no later than 48 hours before your treatment. You will require a patch test if:
This is the first time having this treatment in our salon, even if you have previously had this done elsewhere.
You haven't had the treatment or have not been patch tested by us for 1 year or over.
You have had a change in your medical history. This includes any changes in medication or having Covid or either of the vaccines.
We CANNOT patch test you for tint if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. You will be unable to have the tint but can have the lift if there is no reaction to your patch test.
