Experience the power of BioSurface™ Peel, a powerful new skin resurfacing system from the skin health experts at Dermalogica and The International Dermal Institute. It helps reduce acne, pigmentation and signs of premature ageing to reveal smoother, brighter and softer skin.
Why do you need it? Chemical peels are one of the most popular professional skin care services today because they can improve the quality, texture and colour of skin. However they can also produce severe side effects such as inflammation, discoloration and scarring for up to several months. With BioSurface Peel, you can get the same powerful results without the associated risks or downtime. In fact, your skin will look and feel healthier than ever!
How does it work? BioSurface Peel is designed to work with the skin’s chemistry, not against it. When performed by our professional skin experts, it safely removes dull outer layers of skin and helps the skin underneath regenerate for a smooth, radiant complexion. In general, BioSurface Peel can be tailored to address:
signs of photo damage
fine lines and wrinkles
some forms of hyperpigmentation and unbalanced skin tone
What can you expect? Your skin condition, skin concern and dedication to post-treatment care will impact the frequency and results of BioSurface Peel treatments. Clients typically notice dramatically improved skin quality, texture and tone within three treatments. Ideally, a series of three or six treatments are performed over a six- to twelve-week period, followed by maintenance treatments twice a year. This treatment can be combined with our IonActive system.
Before your treatment All clients will need preliminary skin treatments prior to receiving a chemical peel to ensure the skin can tolerate the high activity of a peel and to minimise adverse effects. Priming the skin before receiving your chemical peel will ensure that treatments are a success and that you receive the best results possible for your skin concerns.
We recommend that you have one of the following treatments before your BioSurface Peel: MicroZone treatment £20 Skin Treatment £35
More information about these treatments can be found here
To help manage any post-treatment conditions please increase your hydration and moisturising regime for 3-4 days before your treatment.
Post treatment care Immediately after your BioSurface Peel treatment, your skin may appear red, flushed and may be more sensitive depending on your skin condition. As your skin goes through the renewal process, it is normal to experience dryness, redness and tightness, as well as potential peeling or flaking within a week. You may also notice a more pronounced appearance of pigmentation as it rises to the skin’s surface. These side effects will subside quickly with proper post-treatment care, starting with the BioSurface Peel Aftercare Kit.
Your FREE aftercare kit includes: UltraCalming Cleanser, Super Sensitive Shield SPF 30, two nourishing moisturisers and a AGE Smart Multivitamin Thermafoliant to help buff away post-treatment peeling. You will also receive a fully customised Dermalogica skin care prescription to help ensure lasting results.
While it is best to wait as long as possible before applying make up, we suggest you wait a minimum of 20 minutes after the treatment to apply make up. This will give your skin a chance to calm from the treatment and reduces the possibility of irritation.
